| Spc. Michael Wendling was killed in action in Iraq the same day as Andrew, by an improvised explosive device. The Wendling family and the Brockman/Wallace family have become extremely close, united by a the bond of the sacrifice of their sons. Each year, Andrew's family and friends have participated in the Michael Wendling Memorial Golf Classic in honor of his commitment to his country and the sacrifice he made. |
